Your orthodontic treatment journey

First visit

At Salinas Orthoin Salinas CA , we want to make sure you have a clear understanding of what orthodontic treatment involves. Below is an outline of what you can expect to happen during your orthodontic treatment journey with our highly professional team.

Before you come in to Salinas Ortho for your first appointment, please fill out our new patient form and bring it with you.

Your first visit

Here at Salinas Ortho, your first visit to us is free. At this appointment we will assess your orthodontic needs and take any x-rays or digital photos required. Using this information we will put together a bespoke treatment plan for you, outlining our recommended treatment, length of treatment and cost.

Once you have approved of your treatment plan, we can get started.

Getting your braces fitted

The second visit to Salinas Ortho is likely to be your fitting appointment. At this stage, you would have been given your treatment plan and told us you'd like to proceed. This second visit, or your fitting appointment, will be one of the longer ones you have with us as during this time we'll be fitting you with your orthodontic appliance.

During treatment

Throughout your orthodontic treatment journey, we'll ask that you come in once every five to ten weeks so we can check to ensure your treatment is progressing as planned. In between these visits, it is incredibly important that you follow a good oral hygiene routine which our treatment coordinator will explain to you. You should also see your family dentist for regular checkups.

After treatment

Once your braces have been removed, congratulations - you can enjoy your fabulously new, straight smile. To keep it like this we'll issue you with one of two types of retainers. It is important you wear your retainer as our specialist orthodontist advises you too, as this appliance is what keeps your newly straightened teeth in position.
